Amie Thomasson

Amie Thomasson is the Daniel P. Stone Professor of Intellectual and Moral Philosophy at Dartmouth College. She works on metaphysics, metaontology, fiction, philosophy of mind and phenomenology, the philosophy of art, and social ontology.

Amie Thomasson is the author of Norms and Necessity, Ontology made Easy, Ordinary Objects and Fiction and Metaphysics. Ontology Made Easy was awarded the American Philosophical Association's 2017 Sanders Book Prize.

She was recently named one of the 50 most influential living philosophers according to a new list published by higher education and rankings website The Best Schools.
